The Queen of England was taken ill this past week, and admitted to hospital. In the land of the National Health Service or NHS, would it surprise you to know she went to a private hospital, not one run by he State she reins over? ”Hold on! I thought the NHS is a “gift” to the British nation”, I hear you say. British politicians have been telling the Brits that for years. And yet, the Monarch drives past five NHS facilities, and checks in at an exclusive ,and very expensive, private facility.
Why would that be? There was the recent hiccup in the life of the 60 year old institution, called the Francis report, released last month. It detailed 1200 deaths from neglect in a flagship NHS hospital, but that should not worry the Queen, should it? After all, the British Prime Minister has declared he has full faith in the NHS CEO, and through him the service. Those people obviously died as a result of the “system”. Must have been the system, no one has even lost their job, or at least that is what the leaders of Britain would have you believe. The Prime Minister also failed to tell the people who elected him to office, that the report said the abuses was systemic. It’s possible, hundreds of thousands have been massacred in the health system frequently referred to as “the best in the world”, well, at least by British politicians.
You have to ask the question; why have the Brits not seen the use of non NHS facilities by the countries elite, and that includes well heeled politicians, as the worst kind of hypocrisy? The UK’s newspapers don’t report that the queen has gone to a private facility. They do however, in support of the unions, heavily report any access to private provision to the broader population. This is a very important point, and is worth repeating: The press will vilify private providers who the government allow to treat NHS patients. Clearly, the normal man in the street, does not have the same rights as the elite. Should not the Queen, the country’s monarch, support her people and the NHS by her patronage? Apparently not, and that is explained by the fact, that all of the UK’s elite know the NHS murders patients.
By not going to an NHS facility, the Queen is exercising a choice, which the Unions and others, actively try and stop the taxpayer from having access to. For the Queen, it is arrogance, borne of centuries of expecting her subjects to “make do”, while she flies around at taxpayer expense and lives in taxpayer paid for castles. Sound slightly familiar? In that thinking, she is supported by the government. A government which is advertised as democratic, but sadly is not. What the US should understand, is that the arrogance needed to ferment this type of behaviour, can manifest in a much shorter time. It seems clear Congress is creating ObamaCare for the peasants, and will enjoy high quality care, only available to them, within the beltway.
The US today, has its own ruling elite. One which governs by dictate, pushes through legislation it feels is good for the country, contrary to the voters wishes. The elite live in a bubble which provides to them the best of everything. Safety, healthcare, food, travel, and the list goes on. Like the English Queen, they are divorced completely from those they rule.
We enter an era of uncertainty. Those who control the reins of power will always get what they want off our backs. Like the queen, they will ride past the death chambers we will be forced to use, badged as hospitals, on their way to a facility, reserved just for them.
